Still time to register today for this month’s Professional Development Meeting that features an overview of the latest APICS learning system, certifications, and education opportunities, a dinner buffet, and a technical session described below. You can also register at the door.

This month’s technical session deals with transforming the performance of your Enterprise Resource Planning investment. This is not a sales pitch for any vendor, but rather this is the APICS Greater Fort Worth Chapter reaching out to practitioners to find ways in which we can professionally develop local talent to make the most competitive impact on the renaissance of manufacturing and supply chain logistics in our region.

The speaker at this Professional Development Seminar will be Dr. Jonathan Wilson. Dr. Wilson has a PhD in Strategic Management, a Masters in Global Logistics Supply Chain Management, a Masters in Business Administration and is a professionally qualified Management Accountant. In addition to Dr. Wilson’s academic credentials, Dr. Wilson has substantial experience in the implementation of world-class supply chains. He has lead manufacturing and supply chain projects in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Dr. Wilson takes an analytical approach to understanding the root causes of underperforming sales, costs and assets before designing strategically targeted manufacturing and supply chain solutions.  This approach has produced substantial market and cost benefits and has been demonstrated to work effectively in a variety of industries.

Using this strategic approach to supply chain and operations management, Dr. Wilson’s talk will outline an essential, but often overlooked, front end process that focuses the implementation and operation of ERP on new wealth creation. This strategic front end process will be illustrated through a case study of the transformation of a European supply chain in the automotive industry.

The lessons and perspectives revealed in this talk would be of interest to:

  • Board level executives, and managers in,
    • Finance
    • Sales and Marketing
    • Information Technology
    • Operations
    • Engineering
    • Warehousing
    • Purchasing
    • Transportation

There will be a Q&A session after the talk.

Look forward to meeting you on the 18th!
